What do we need?

When repatriating to Italy we ensure that any local protocol where the deceased is located is respected, as well as all local requirements for Italy. Documentation usually includes but is not limited to:

  • Passport of the deceased
  • Local death certificate
  • Embalming certificate
  • Freedom from infection certificate
  • Permission to bring the person out of the country
  • Permit for the country of destination if required

We are able to arrange flight information within a few hours of completing all official documents.

In general terms, repatriation will take approximately 5-10 working days, from the date the deceased is released by the local authorities.

The timeframe is also dependent on the local authorities issuing the required documentation and then flight availability with the airlines
